Dutch legislation about FGC
Since 2003 the Eigen Kracht Centrale is working on getting a legal mandate for FGC. In 2011 by the initiative of MOP Joel Voordewind (CU) the Parliament has voted unanimously in favor of an amendment that provide citizens at risk of a State intervention with the opportunity to construe (together with relatives, in-laws or others who belong to their social environment) an action plan, or to adapt an existing plan, within six weeks.
